Doctor Who “The End of Time – Part 1″ – Thoughts and Analysis

The penultimate episode/special in many ways highlights some of the best and worst aspects of Russell T Davies time on Doctor Who, with it on one hand being a highly enjoyable fast paced episode with good character development and mysteries, but on the other having a plot with holes so big you could drive a truck through them and an strong element of Deus ex Machina.

Stargate Universe 1.10 “Justice” – Thoughts and Analysis

I have had mixed feelings about Stargate Universe in the first half of the series. While on one hand it has several outstanding actors and character drama, on the other it often has an overemphasis on sex and soap opera elements, and that is even before the issue of not dealing with the ethics of body swapping. Thankfully Justice is a powerful character drama which while at times predictable highlights all of the best elements of Stargate Universe, with none of the worst.

FlashForward 1.10 “A561984″ – Thoughts and Analysis

While on the whole I enjoyed this episode of FlashForward, I did have mixed feelings about some parts of the episode, and the plausability of one particular aspect of Mark and Demetri in Hong Kong. There were also enough questions raised to keep people speculating during the mid season break.

Stargate Universe 1.09 “Life” – Thoughts and Analysis

Stargate Universe finally gets around to showing us the standard daily routine of the Destiny crew, and along with the standard intrigue and deception from Rush, there are also the awful soap opera elements of the show which I personally cant stand in such high doses.

FlashForward 1.09 “Believe” – Thoughts and Analysis

After the last episode in which Bryce played a major role was my least favourite in the series so far I had relatively low expectations going into this episode. While I am still not that big a fan of Bryce I did however find Believe to be an enjoyable episode, even though there was not enough development in the main plot for my liking.

Doctor Who “The Waters of Mars” – Thoughts and Analysis

After Planet of the Dead I went into this special not really expecting much, but thankfully ended up thinking that this was a really enjoyable episode whose main problem was that this really should have been the first special with the ending changed so that the Doctor did not realise the implications of what he had done.

Stargate Universe 1.08 “Time” – Thoughts and Analysis

After last week's controversial and disappointing episode Stargate Universe went back to its roots with one of the staples of the Sci-Fi Genre Time Travel. While last week I was frustrated over the lack of thought regarding the consequences of peoples actions, my main complaint this week is that all the welcome character details and development is erased through use of the reset button.
